How many sites were selected?

A total of 50 libraries were chosen to host Thinking Money. View the list of selected sites here.

Is attendance at the orientation session required?

Yes. The library project director named in your application must attend the June 2016 orientation session in Orlando, Florida, held in conjunction with ALA's Annual Conference. Travel and lodging costs will be covered by ALA. Specific information on how to make travel reservations was emailed directly to project directors.

Can my staff and I start the required online, self-paced training modules now?

Yes, you can find them at http://smartinvesting.ala.org/staff-training/on-line-self-paced-reference-course/.

Are the included iPads tethered to the display stands

Two iPads and freestanding bases will be included with each exhibit. Each stand has:

  • Metal back, upright and base
  • Tamper-proof screws to ensure secured enclosure
  • High impact acrylic cover
  • Anti-theft hardware

Could you give examples of non-profit presenters not sponsored by a financial service company?

Social service agencies, federal reserve branch banks, municipal government agencies, higher education institutions, public schools, cooperative extension service agencies, consumer credit counseling services, senior centers, and youth serving organizations, such as the YWCA are examples of suitable partners.
