An introductory webinar featuring PBS and ALA staff was hosted for The Great American Read programming grant recipients on Tuesday, May 15. You can view a recording of this presentation here.
ALA, PBS and a committee of librarian advisors have created a GREAT AMERICAN READ Programming Guide for Libraries. This 60-page guide includes episode summaries, suggested discussion questions, program ideas and much more. Download a digital copy of the report here.
The following files were created for recipients of the ALA/PBS grants for The Great American Read to assist with promoting their programs. Please feel free to customize these materials with information about your program offerings. There is no need to seek approval of the customized pieces from the ALA Public Programs Office.
The files were created using Adobe Creative Suite software. Adobe files are available upon request; email publicprograms@ala.org to inquire. View instructions for editing these files.
Please note: Printed promotional materials (posters, bookmarks and postcards) will be mailed to programming grant recipients by May 28.
Grantees are encouraged to regularly check PBS’s website for The Great American Read for a wide variety of other supporting materials for libraries, which will be added through fall 2018.
This official credit line should appear on printed and visual materials related to your TGAR programming:
